According to the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES. MONDAY EVENING JANUARY 13, 1913 he was the Marshal of the Holy Name Society at St. John’s Church in Oswego, New York.

From the OSWEOO DAILY TIMES, FRIDAY EVENING, APRIL 23,1915. He attended a public hearing to object to the Erie Street paving project. The city would pay for part of the cost, but homeowners would be required to pay the rest. The streets had been paved in 1898 and the homeowners thought they could be repaired without having a total repaving of the streets.The cost was estimated to be $3.69 1/4 per running foot.

From the OSWEGO PALLADIUM-TIMES, MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 1931 award was made to date in his case against the Oil Well Supply Company (does this mean he was finally awarded compensation for his injuries?). It also says the case continued. He was injured in January 1923 and was confined to his bed for 4 years. Today marked his first appearance in court for several years.

From the OSWEGO PALLADIUM-TIMES, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1934 he cut his neck shaving and was taken to the hospital. He was 69 years old at the time. He ended up dying 2 days later.

His age is not consistent on census records and newspaper articles.

Patrick married Anna R KELLY, daughter of Michael KELLY and Catherine WHELAN, on Apr 15, 1890 in St. John’s Church, Clyde, New York. Anna was born in Feb 1868 in Savannah, New York and died on Jun 1, 1956 in Oswego, New York, USA at age 88.

From the CLYDE NY TIMES, January 10, 1907 she was surprised by her parents on Christmas morning with an upright piano. By this time the family had moved from Clyde to Oswego.

From the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES, Friday Evening, October 9, 1908 she was in 5th place in a newspaper contest with 12,727 votes. Her cousin Etta Davis was in the lead with 30,401 votes. Marie’s address was 57 West Erie St, Oswego, Etta’s address was 231 West 5th St, Oswego.

From the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES, Monday Evening, October 12, 1908 she won the newspaper contest with 180,852 votes beating her cousin Etta who had 95,016 votes in the District 4 contest. She also won the overall contest for the West Side of the Oswego River for which she won a $400 Ivers and Pond piano.

From the CLYDE, N. Y. TIMES, THURSDAY, OCT. 22, 1908, announcement in her old hometown that the former little Clyde girl, now living in Oswego, won a piano in a newspaper contest. She had also previously won a fine gold watch a few weeks prior to winning the piano.

From THE LYONS REPUBLICAN, FRIDAY, JULY 18. 1913 she was visiting her aunt Katherine Fehr and her husband

From THE LYONS REPUBLICAN, FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 1914, she and her cousins Katherine and Agnes Scarry were visiting their aunt Katherine Fehr and her husband. Marie returned home on Tuesday, but the other girls stayed for the week.

Was a practicing nurse in 1917 (found a mention of this in a newspaper article, but the quality of the scanned article wasn’t good, so it was not saved)

From the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES, Wednesday Evening February 6, 1918 she was certified by the Department of Education as eligible for appointment as a school nurse.

From the OSWEGO DAILY PALLADIUM, Wednesday June 12, 1918 she made an application for enrollment blanks in the nurse’s section of the Red Cross. This was to look over the requirements for enlisting.

From the OSWEGO DAILY PALLADIUM, Wednesday, October 29, 1919 she was attending the State Convention of the Nurses Association in Brooklyn, New York with 2 other nurses from Oswego.

From the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES FRIDAY EVENING, SEPTEMBER 3. 1920 she was working as the nurse in the emergency hospital of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company at the County Fair.

From the OSWEGO DAILY TIMES, TUESDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 9, 1924 the Metropolitan Insurance Company nurse was home sick with the measles. There were also 3 other cases of the measles in the city.

The Dockstader family: Descendants of Georg Dachstatter, Palatine emigrant of 1709, who settled in the Mohawk Valley of New York book says she was born Feb 6, 1904 in Oswego. Looks like this info came from her sons John and Robert Bond which could be wrong.

Her obituary says she was born in Savannah, Wayne County, NY, not Clyde, NY. She and her husband were living at 263 West Fourth St, Oswego, NY at the time of her death. She died at Oswego Hospital at 1:30 on Saturday morning after an illness of but a few days. She was educated in the schools in Oswego, was a communicant at St. John’s Church. She was a graduate of Oswego Hospital and was employed as a visiting nurse for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Buried in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Marie married Harold John BOND, son of Orville Shepard BOND and Antoinette May COOPER, on Jan 6, 1927 in Oswego, NY. Harold was born on Apr 10, 1890 in Oswego, New York, USA and died on Dec 2, 1963 in Oswego, New York, USA at age 73.

According to the OSWEGO DAILY PALLADIUM, THUESDAY. JULY 26, 1917 he was employed at the Bisbee Camp in the Adirondacks and was home visiting his parents in Oswego.

Moved to Utica in 1917.

From the UTICA HERALD-DISPATCH, MONDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 24, 1919 wedding announcement he was living at 1003 Miller St., Utica, New York. Married at St. John’s Church in Utica, New York. Attendants – Harriet Kulow (bride’s sister) and Thomas Moore of Whitesboro. They left on a trip to include points of interest in the East. Would be living in the Kanatenah apartments on their return. The bride is in charge of the children’s department at G. R. Kinney Company and the groom is a salesman there as well. He had lived in Utica for 2 years at this point. His parents and sister attended the wedding.

Marriage License says he was 22 at the time of his marriage, living in Utica, and was a clerk.

(Don’t know why name is listed as Benjamin, but from the other info it seems to be him.)

Split with wife sometime between the birth of their son in May 1921 and 1925. She and her husband were both living back with their own parents on census records from 1925 on.

He was a Korean War era veteran, serving in the 707th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion of the Third Army.
He was a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego and attended the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University.
He taught English and history for many years in the Fulton and Oswego school districts.
He was recognized in 1985 with the Senior’s Choice Most Dedicated Teacher Award.
Mr. Bond was a master teacher of dog obedience classes for many years.

One of two twins. Twin bother James died shortly after birth. Mother died from
complications during child birth from another set of twins some 11 months after
his birth.

Raised along with older brother John and sister Mary by father, Harold, and the
family’s live-in house keeper Ethel Wells (“Aunt Ethel”).

Joined the Army in 1949 after graduation from high school. Boot camp at Fort
Dix, NJ. Joined the Signal Corp, and was overseas in Austria and Germany
through 1952. Honorably discharged in 1952 and enrolled in the Industrial Arts
program at the State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego.

Graduated with a BS in Industrial Arts in 1956 and began teaching at Montgomery
High School. Received MS in Industrial Arts from SUNY Oswego in 1960. Taught
Automotive Repair, Metal Shop, and Printing. Retired from teaching in the 1980s

Was a devoted father, spending a great deal of time with his children and
their friends and relatives. Was viewed as a second father by many.

Loved to joke with people and “pushing their buttons” to invoke an expected
reaction. Sometimes he didn’t know when to quit.

Was passionate about sports, especially ice hockey. Loved the Boston Bruins.
Also followed baseball (Cincinnati Reds) and football. In his later years he
spent a lot of time watching sports on television (TV), owning a satellite dish
and numerous TVs.

1) Building hockey rinks in the yard during the winters in the late 1960s and
1970s.

2) Riding snowmobiles on Lake Sherman, New York.

3) Building soapbox racers

4) Playing, instructing, and organizing neighborhood football games.

5) Two trips to Walt Disney World in Florida.
