1. William BOND, son of Barnet BOND and ?, was born on Nov 14, 1756 and died on Feb 27, 1838 in Fredonia, New York at age 81.

General Notes: Not sure if this is correct, but his father was named Barnet. Listed as Barndt in Poughkeepsie Presbyterian Church Baptisms.

May have found him in the 1810 US Census living in Kingsbury, NY

The Baptist Church at Sandy Hill was constituted in April, 1840. The first meeting was held on May 2 with J.B. Murphy the pastor as moderator and Barnet Bond as clerk. He was clerk in 1841 and 1842.

General Notes: Ozro Martin Bond had a wholesale lumber business, shipping lumber across the Great lakes. His son Charles Henry Bond (from his first marriage to Phebe Ann Dunham) was also involved in this business. The book “Notable Men of Central New York”, (publisher Dwight J. Stoddard, 1903) also listed Ozro as a manufacturer in addition to a wholesale lumber merchant.

The old schooner Helen Blood, for years an Oswego vessel and owned by O. M. Bond and the late Senator Blood, lost her jib boom at Chicago the other day!
Mr. O. M. Bond is President of the new starch factory which S. B. Robinson is putting under way at Auburn. The News, in referring to the new enterprise, says: The new starch factory project is being pushed through. Millwrights have been engaged to set up the machinery, and it is hoped the enterprise may prove a permanent success.

Graduated with a BS in Industrial Arts in 1956 and began teaching at Montgomery
High School. Received MS in Industrial Arts from SUNY Oswego in 1960. Taught
Automotive Repair, Metal Shop, and Printing. Retired from teaching in 198?

Was a devoted father, spending a great deal of time with his children and
their friends and relatives. Was viewed as a second father by many.

Loved to joke with people and “pushing their buttons” to invoke an expected
reaction. Sometimes he didn’t know when to quit.

Was passionate about sports, especially ice hockey. Loved the Boston Bruins.
Also followed baseball (Cincinnati Reds) and football. In his later years he
spent a lot of time watching sports on television (TV), owning a satellite dish
and numerous TVs.

William Russell “Bill” Taber of Irmo, SC, formerly of Dover, MA, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013. Born in Paterson, NJ, June 5, 1928, he was a son of the late Dr. Leslie R. and Orrell Bond Taber.
He was predeceased by his sister, Dr. Elizabeth Taber Pierce.
Bill attended Brown University and was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was employed with Bristol Myers Squibb as a District Manager and Regional Sales Trainer for twenty-eight years. Bill was also an agent for Bankers Life & Casualty Company. For twenty-five years, he was a Hospice Volunteer with the VNA of Needham, MA. He was a thirty-year member and Deacon of the Dover church and presently was a member of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed boating on Narraganset Bay and spending time with family and friends.
